Our Bible Study tracks will meet for a total of 4 hours throughout the week. When registering for camp, students must choose a 1st choice "Bible Study Track" and a 2nd choice "Bible Study Track". Students will participate in the same Bible Study track all week long.
The Basics
Are you new to this whole idea of Christianity? Wondering what it even means to be a Christian? Then this might be the discipleship track for you. Come and hang out with us as we spend some time learning about God and his plan for our lives. We'll spend time talking about who Jesus is, what he has done, and what it means to live as a follower of Jesus.
How to Study the Bible
Studying the Bible is one of the best ways that we can grow in our relationship with God. Just like each of us grows physically, we are also created to grow spiritually as we follow God with our lives. Come hang out with us as we learn how to grow closer to God through studying the Bible. As we study the Bible, we discover how God calls us to live, what it means to have a relationship with him, and the plan that he has for our lives.
Family of God
You were not made to do life alone. You were created to live in relationship with God and others. When we give our lives to Jesus, we are reborn into a whole new family: the family of God. This Bible study track is all about how we are called to live as part of the family of God. It may not always be easy to get along with others, but we were created for community. We need others to support, challenge, and encourage us as we live our lives for Jesus. Come and learn what it truly means to belong to the family of God, living in a loving relationship with others that helps all of us grow closer to God.
Renewing Your Mind
What does the Bible have to say about mental health? When we give our lives to Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes and lives in us and transforms our lives. We are called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. But what do we do when that is easier said than done? How do we grow to have a renewed mind? Come and learn what the Bible has to say about mental health, about building a strong and God-honoring thought life, and also responding to mental struggles like anxiety and depression.
Inside Out
People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. That is our theme verse for camp this year. It is the verse that our whole Below the Surface theme is based on. So, if God is primarily interested in our heart, then our internal life must be pretty important! Come and learn what it means to have an inside out faith. Come and learn how to develop a faith way deeper than merely our actions that nonetheless influences all of our actions. Come and learn what it means to be one who follows after God’s own heart.
The Upside Down Kingdom
God has a way different perspective than our world. His thoughts are not our thoughts and his ways are not our ways. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. The things that the world cares so deeply about do not matter to God. Yet, there is so much that does matter to God. When we give our lives to Jesus, we are welcomed into an upside down kingdom with a whole new set of values and priorities and a completely different measure of success. Come and learn what it means to live as a follower of Jesus in the upside down kingdom of God, seeing our lives be changed to focus on the things that matter to God.
